The European standard grit sizes is the FEPA grading system. All FEPA grit sizes are preceded with the letter “P”, i.e. P180, etc. Products identified with FEPA grit sizes are Aluminium oxide, Zirconia alumina, Silicon carbide and Garnet. Additionally, some products produced for the woodworking and floor sanding markets are identified with a “grit symbol”. The backing of these products contains both the mesh number and the grit symbol.
The following information will assist you in selecting the correct grade of product.
