ESD (Electro Static Discharge) is a major problem within the electronics industry. Potentials as small as 30V can cause premature failure of some components. This may be undetectable as the damage to the component may not cause it to fail but will drastically reduce its working life. Handling and transporting
all static sensitive components in an electro static protected area will remove the risk of ESD. The following products will enable the protection of all sensitive components. All items comply with Cenelec 00 015.
ESD bonding plug
Constructed from a flame retardent ABS/PC blend. The plug provides a safe ESD earth facility by an integral 1.1 meg ohm resistor between the earth pin and the raised 10mm contact stud.
