All the Roebuck / ITL tools are manufactured in Great Britain and will provide complete safety when working in a potentially live line or electrical situation. The complete range is tested to 10,000 volts and rated to 1,000 volts. Insulated Tools Ltd have a 45 year track record of producing insulated tools to the highest standard possible. We know that live line working needs high quality insulated tools so we can ensure that all our tools more than meet the IEC 60900 Category ‘C’ international specification.
ITL insulates its’ products by injection moulding with the material Nylon 11. This unique and innovative method means that ITL’s tools can be used in live line conditions and when working near any potential harzardous area. All products comply to IEC 60900:2004- Category C, which states that all tools must be able to pass an electrical test of 10,000 volts for 3 minutes submerged in water. The material must be able to function at temperatures from -20 degrees C to +70 degrees C. The tool must also be able to withstand impact, be flame retardant, have good adhesion and the minimum moisture retention. Insulated Tool’s products carry the ‘Category C’ mark. These tools have to be able to take impact after being taken down to -40 degrees C for a minimum period of 24 hours.
All the tools more than comply with all the internationally recognised standards that fall under the banner of IEC 60900 in Europe, North America, Australia, India and across the globe.
