The Magnetic Holdfast range are made up of Alcomax 3 magnetic material.
On each Holdfast the magnetic power is confined to the workface.
Each unit is equipped with a removable ‘screw
down tee handle’ to facilitate the easy release of the workpiece.
E938 is a cube with holes drilled on 2 faces.
E939, E940, E941 are circular and have 2 M8 holes pitched on the top face.
E938 and E942 have plain holes (8.35mm diameter) - the user can choose their preferred screw thread - all others are M8 x 1.25mm threads.
Maximum operating temperature is 100°C.
Uses and Applications
The Magnetic Holdfasts can be built into workholding, handling and assembly fixtures to provide a high clamping force and positive grip.

Magnetic floaters
Magnetic floaters are devices for automatic separation of steel sheets. They operate by mutual repulsion
of workpieces magnetised identically by permanent magnets. The uppermost sheet floats in the air. Magnetic floaters are generally auxiliaries to major machine tools and, as such, should be integrated fully into the work-flow systems of those machines. There are two main attitudes of flotation, horizontal and vertical. Small sheets and narrow sheets are generally floated horizontally. Larger sheets are floated vertically.
Button magnets
A cylindrical magnet. Both poles are at one end of the cylinder, separated by a slot. These magnets are primarily for attracting applications.
