All 600 series multi-plier tools have one-handed opening. No handle rotation or gyrations are necessary, just a flick of the wrist slides the plier jaws into the locked and ready position. Components lock up against a solid bar of steel. To close simply slide the lock release back and rotate component back into handle. Other features include smooth non-pinching handles, stainless steel construction and a limited lifetime warranty. The MP400 offers the same features, but is only 3/4 the size of the 600 series.
